NEW FOR THE 2019-2020 SEASON! We will be offering two locations where we offer recreational dance classes. DelMonico Dance has partnered with Merrill Arts Center and we are excited to continue to offer a recreational dance program to families in Woodbury. In addition, we will be offering recreational dance classes at our new location!

Session Classes are also offered throughout the season for dancers who are looking for a shorter, themed program. These classes are designed for dancers ages 4-6. Classes not only incorporate dance, but also arts & crafts and other activities. Session classes are a great introduction to dance!

The Recreational Dance Program is for dancers who want to experience dance for the first time or who are looking for classes in a more relaxed, but still challenging and fun and upbeat environment. DelMonico Dance welcomes dancers of all ages and all levels. We offer two levels within our recreational dance program, Rising-Stars (Ages 15 months – Kindergarten) and All-Stars (Grades 1st – 12th).

Rising-Stars Program (15 months – Kindergarten)

The Rising-Stars Program is our specialty program for dancers ages 18 months to Kindergarten. The program is designed to offer introductory dance classes in a fun and exciting way, while igniting the imagination and learning the discipline and art of dance.

Mommy & Me (15 months – 3 years)
This is a 30-minute class designed for dancers and their caregiver to enjoy alongside each other. This class is an introduction to dance. Dancers will have fun exploring movement through creative play, rhythms and games that incorporate balance and coordination. Dancers participating in this class will NOT perform in our Spring Recital.
Class Length Per Week: 30 minutes
Monthly Cost: $40
Shoes Needed: Girls- Pink ballet shoes (optional) or clean socks, Boys- Black ballet shoes (optional) or clean socks

Tiny Tots (18 months – 3 years)
This is a 30-minute class designed for dancers who are excited about music and movement! Dancers will begin to learn rhythms, enhance balance and coordination and explore creative movement and tumbling. Dancers will perform ONE dance in our Spring Recital and will have ONE costume.
Class Length Per Week: 30 minutes
Monthly Cost: $40
Shoes Needed: Girls- Pink Ballet Shoes, Boys – Black Ballet Shoes
Costume & Cost: One costume, One-time fee of $75

Pre & Kinder-Dance (3 years – 6 years)
This is a 45-minute class designed to focus on elements from Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Tumbling. Dancers will begin to understand rhythms, basic dance concepts and simple choreography. Dancers will perform TWO dances in our Spring Recital and will have ONE costume.
Class Length Per Week: 45 minutes
Monthly Cost: $50
Shoes Needed: Girls- Pink Ballet Shoes and Tan, Strappy Tap Shoes. Boys – Black Ballet Shoes and Black-Tie Tap Shoes
Costume & Cost: One costume, One-time costume fee of $75

Tiny Hoppers (Preschool & Kindergarten Hip Hop)
This is a 30-minute hip hop class designed for dancers looking for a fun and upbeat way to burn off energy! Dancers will learn progressions across the floor, beginner hip hop tricks and combinations. Dancers will perform ONE dance in our Spring Recital and will have ONE costume.
Class Length Per Week: 30 minutes
Monthly Cost: $40
Shoes Needed: Clean Tennis Shoes
Costume & Cost: One costume, One-time costume fee of $75

Boys Hip Hop (Ages 3-6 & 7 +)
This is a 30-minute class designed for dancers looking for a fun and upbeat way to burn energy! Dancers will learn progressions across the floor, beginner hip hop tricks and combinations. Dancers will perform ONE dance in our Spring Recital and will have ONE costume.
Class Length Per Week: 30 minutes
Monthly Cost: $36
Shoes Needed: Clean Tennis Shoes
Costume & Cost: One costume, One-time costume fee of $75

All-Stars Program (Grades 1st – 12th)

The All-Star Program is our specialty program for dancers in grades 1st-12th. This program is designed to offer students the opportunity to select styles of dance based on their interests through individual or combination classes. Classes are broken down into the following age groups: 1st-2nd Grade, 3rd-5th Grade and 6th-9th Grade.

1st – 2nd Grade Combination Classes
These are 60-minute combination classes designed for dancers who want to learn more about the fundamentals of Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Lyrical. All combination classes will perform TWO routines in our Spring Recital and will have TWO costumes.

NEW! Mini Hoppers (1st – 2nd Grade)
This is a 30-minute hip hop class designed for dancers looking for a fun and upbeat way to burn off energy! Dancers will learn progressions across the floor, beginner-intermediate hip hop tricks and combinations. Dancers will perform ONE dance in our Spring Recital and will have ONE costume.

6th -9th Grade Combination Classes
These are 60-minute combination classes designed for dancers who want to learn more about the fundamentals of Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet and Lyrical. All combination classes will perform TWO routines in our Spring Recital and will have TWO costumes.

Dancers will focus on technique, combinations and choreography and will begin to understand and develop artistry. Dancers will perform ONE routine in our Spring Recital and will have ONE costume.
Class Length Per Week: 45 minutes
Monthly Cost: $50
Shoes Needed: Tan Turners or Foot Thongs
Costume & Cost: One costume, One-time costume fee of $75

Dancers should wear appropriate attire for each class, ie leotard, tights, shorts, tank tops, leggings, T-shirts, etc. No street clothes are allowed. Dancers should have full range of motion for all classes.

Dancers may purchase shoes and attire through any retailer, but we recommend Step N’ Stretch for all of your dance wear needs.
